The Cleveland Browns are moving on from Josh Gordon.
A source told ESPN’s Dan Graziano that the team intends to part ways with the troubled wide receiver.
Coach Hue Jackson said Friday that the team was going to “move on” from Gordon, though Graziano’s source says Jackson was speaking of putting questions about Gordon behind the Browns and focusing on the players currently with the team. It does appear, however, that Gordon’s days with the franchise are indeed numbered.
“Today is really the last JG comment I want to make about that,” Jackson said. “I think what’s best for our football team is we move forward and we move on. He’s not going to be with us and we wish him well, but we’ll move forward. We’ll move on.”
It was announced Thursday that Gordon is entering rehab. It’s no surprise, given his history, that the team will simply elect to give him a fresh start elsewhere.
