Does the NFL do enough to help build up the communities where many of its players are found? According to Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett, the answer is a clear no.
Certainly, NFL players are often involved in the communities where they live and play. But those players often do that as individuals, rather than with their teams or the league in general.
Whether the NFL does enough is entirely a subjective opinion. But Bennett — who clearly feels he knows how the NFL works — believes more can be done. Given how outspoken Bennett is and how many fans he has on Twitter, it’s safe to say that he’s not alone in this view.
